Our client has a Contract to Hire opportunity for a VMWare Engineer is Houston, TX.


This position will require full time, hands on server administration of 4 HP blades running approximately 85 VMware server sessions. The ability to spin up Virtual Machines, load Operating Systems, various applications and support as a part of baseline operations is required.


Secondarily, installing, managing and troubleshooting Windows OS, Active Directory and Exchange are required.


Previous experience managing the server integration to EMC SAN and NetBackup is a bonus and is preferred.


Communication skills up and down the chain of command and a can do spirit in a fast paced environment is equally important to the confident, experienced skill set described above.


This position will become a permanent position with after 6 months. The first 12 months of the position will be onsite in Houston, TX. After 12 months then candidate will be put out on a new projects, so travel is possible, to clients in the Houston TX area.

Required Skills:


VMWare, HP blades, Windows OS, Active Directory and Exchange, EMC SAN, NetBackup is preferred

Length of Contract: 6 months


Salary: Hourly Rate: 45 to 50

Education Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
