Sales Support Assistant
Actively solicit and secure new accounts within financial institutions by direct communication with senior level management, acting as a liaison between sales staff and potential clients to determine management’s interest and availability for scheduling phone conferences and face-to-face meetings with the Regional Director of that territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Organize and prioritize daily and weekly schedule to maximize sales efforts
· Build relationships with prospect and clients through phone and e-mail
· Coordinate Regional Director’s calendar for 3-6 weeks in advance as well as obtain and keep record of Regional Director’s travel itinerary
· Communicate on a consistent basis with Regional Director to strategize opportunities and create travel schedule for their territory including the use of travel software to determine the best route for the salesperson
· Utilize company software/database to validate accounts, schedule appointments, and ensure that all notes regarding status of discussions with the prospect/customer are noted under each account accurately and a follow-up is scheduled to ensure further communication to the end of sale
· Organize marketing campaigns based on territory including tracking, follow up and determining results
· Create "tickler" process for continued contact work in conjunction with Regional Director
· Contact Credit Union and Bank Leagues/Associations to obtain assistance with strategies for certain accounts within their areas of expertise
· Gather information for reports to track accounts and discover opportunities
· Follow up on accounts, shadowing the Regional Director, to ensure an opportunity is not lost
· Participate in various meetings and training sessions to gain knowledge of our programs, products and services for cross sell opportunities as well as additional industry knowledge
· Research accounts using internet, company software as well as “mystery shopping”
· Perform all other necessary tasks to advance the sales process with any financial institutions within the scope of responsibility
Qualifications:
· Prior sales support experience with a proven track record of success creating, maintaining and growing professional business relationships via direct phone contact.
· College experience preferred and/or one to two years related experience and/or training.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint.
· Knowledge of SalesLogix CEM is helpful.
