Dynamic Global Electronics Manufacturing Company has an immediate opening for a Sr. Buyer, located South of Houston.


Individual will monitor, plan and procure material to support high volume manufacturing demand and minimize inventory exposure; communicate material requirement schedules and forecasts to suppliers; procure materials to support production plans.

1.Review requisitions, obtain quotations, examine bids, and make awards to procure needed items and services

2.Issue Purchase Orders in accordance with policy to obtain materials, components, equipment and services from approved Suppliers.

3.Review and analyze MRP/ERP systems to develop Purchase Orders to meet inventory, cost and quality objectives.

4.Plan, schedule and monitor materials, cost and suppliers to insure the best quality and value throughout the productions schedule.

5.Resolve diverse range of issues where analysis of situations and data requires review of identifiable factors, including: discrepant material, incorrect pricing, supply and quality issues.

6.Develop and maintain established supply sources and relationships.

7.Develop new supply sources and relationships where current suppliers are unable to meet requirements.

8.Participate in evaluating supplier performance as established by policy.

9.Determine and procure material requirements for new product introduction, engineering, production and customer needs.

10.Coordinate purchasing activities with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing and Planning functions to maintain accurate inventory levels.

11. Act as a Purchasing Department representative and participate in interdepartmental teams as directed.

12. Review all purchases for Purchase Price Variance to established Standard and Contract costs.

13. Comply with all company quality assurance methodologies and goals.

14. Perform other related duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements-

- BA/BS Degree in Business Administration/Supply-Logistics or other related professional area. Membership in Purchasing-Materials association desirable.

-Five or more years of experience in the Purchasing Buyer function with direct experience in the electronic industry including

-Vendor Owned Inventory. Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and time management skills.

- Proven material analysis, forecast and inventory management skills. Able to learn new computer programs as implemented

- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint ) as well as MRP Systems.

- Excel V Look up, Tabkes

- BaaN experience preferred

- Able to lead and work cooperatively in an interdisciplinary team environment
