Modis is currently seeking a qualified Network Security/Firewall Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Houston metro area.

This opportunity is expected to start immediately and last for an initial duration of 24 months.


PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Network Security/Firewall Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration and support of all security and data related telecommunications systems. This will include supporting Nokia CheckPoint Firewalls as well as the LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5-7 years experience with IPv4 systems running MPLS backbones and multicast. Cisco VPN Concentrators and MPLS/VPN technology is a must. A demonstrated fundamental knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching using advanced WAN protocols BGP/OSPF is required. A minimum CCNA Certification is required.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Bachelors Degree in an IT related field with a minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience

- Minimum CCNA Certification is required

- Advanced experience with Nokia CheckPoint Firewalls

- Strong Cisco Router/Switch experience

- Experience with MPLS/VPN and Multicast
