One of SGA's major financial clients is looking for a Linux/Unix System Administrator for a long term contract position in Houston, TX to help with day-to-day production support. All applicants should have expert knowledge of Redhat Linux versions 4.x or higher. Knowledge of virtualization and VMWare ESX Plaform and Solaris x86 is a big plus. All candidates must be able to work in an On-Call environment that is global and 24x7. Day to day responsibilities include: diagnosing and troubleshooting Linux, Solaris, and Wintel Server problems and issues with minimal supervision. Advanced Scripting abilities is also a must with Shell or Perl. Any prior experience working in an investment bank or other large financial institution is also a plus.
