Description
Contract assigned (approximately 6 months) with client located in Houston, Texas.
Responsible for managing inquiries/issues directed to the Support Desk via phone, fax or email. Escalates issues that need to be resolved by another team within the organization.
Duties:
Help Desk Support - first tier of support to customers (lenders, providers, etc.) to include answering calls, troubleshooting issues, handling fax/email requests, creating/closing issue tickets, monitoring and managing errors.
Escalation - escalate issues in a timely manner to the appropriate team and ensure that the requestor's issue is resolved and the ticket closed.
Fax Errors - manage the fax error queue. Manually upload the fax to the appropriate transaction and work with the customer/provider to help reduce the number of errors.
Other - Provide assistance to other teams, update knowledge base system with issues/resolutions, assist in account set up and maintenance, identify enhancement opportunities and forward to appropriate resource.
Education - some college/upper level coursework/degree recommended Experience - mortgage industry or technical background preferred but not mandatory.
Specific skills - solid organizational/management skills - exceptional communication & client skills, written and oral - excellent business and telephone etiquette skills - strong customer service focus, team oriented - Good PC skills, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office - Industry knowledge a plus but not required - Development experience with XSLT, ASP, Visual Basic.NET is a plus - Working knowledge in the following languages/programs: XML, Transact-SQL, MS Access and Visual Basic 6 is a plus - Minimum 2 years experience.
