Dynamic Global Electronics Manufacturing Company has an immediate opening for a Supply Chain Analyst south of Houston.


General Description of Job:


Responsible for the design and implementation of supply chain strategies focused on reducing lead times, inventory, and overall product costs for end customers.

1. Interface with suppliers regularly to develop and negotiate lead time and inventory reduction programs.

2. Assist in the coordination and facilitation of customer quoting activities and cost reduction initiatives

3. Monitor customer demand changes and react accordingly to minimize inventory exposure or coordinate expedite activities

4. Become intimately familiar with customer's product life cycle and any factors that contribute to fluctuations in demand

5. Escalate continuity of supply issues that will negatively impact Corporate's on time delivery to customers.

6. Assist Buyers with the return of excess and obsolete material to vendors.

7. Help prepare and conduct customer specific supplier reviews and monitor performance.

8. Analyze ECO's to determine supply chain and cost impacts

9. Attend customer shortage meetings

10. Perform lead time analysis to identify problem parts on customer BOMs

11. Responsible for all inventory risk and exposure reporting for assigned customers

12. Maintain good attendance record.

13. Handle any other assigned tasks as needed.


Education Required:

4 year Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business, or related field.

Experience Required:


Prefer 3-5 years experience in procurement, materials planning, or commodity management role, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry. APICS certification a plus.


Skills Required:


1. Must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment and possess strong decision making skills.

2. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize heavy workload effectively

3. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good organizational skills.

4. Must be proficient using MS Excel knowledge of VLOOKUP function and pivot tables strongly desired.

5. Must be proficient using MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.

6. Must have good understanding of MRP.

7. Must be able to read and understand technical drawings and part specifications.

8. Experience with Baan, Webplan, and Seagate Crystal Reports a plus.

9. APICS certification preferred.
