If so read on.
We are need of a Petroleum Engineer with 5+ years experience to be responsible for maximizing production from company operated wells by proposing, evaluating, and completing workovers, recompletions, and P&A's. Responsible for assisting with reservoir engineering evaluations as necessary.
What you will need to qualify for this position:
- BS in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering is a plus.
- 5+ years experience in upstream operations; drilling, completion, and production.
- 5+ years reservoir engineering experience
-Mid-continent and specifically Texas experience required
- Knowledge of engineering principles for oil and gas production.
- Experience in well completions, recompletions, and workovers, including perforating and stimulation design and execution, compression, siphon strings, and gas lift.
- Field experience supervising and/or overseeing workover/recompletion operations.
- Interpret well logs.
- Interpret geologic analysis.
- Knowledge of oil and gas reserve estimation and economic evaluation.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including, Excel and Word.
- Experience using a petroleum economic evaluation program, such as Aries or PhdWin.
What you will be doing:
- Monitor production from company operated wells.
- Propose recompletions and/or workovers (compression, siphon strings, gas lift, re-perf, re-frac, etc) to maintain, increase, or optimize production.
- Responsible for cost estimates, writing procedures, preparing AFE's, running economics, and write-ups for management approval.
- Assist the reservoir engineer in the evaluation of acquisition packages, prospect evaluation (RAPs), and preparation of the annual reserve report and operations budget.
- Monitor production on Non-Op wells.
- Evaluate workover and recompletion proposals for Non-Op wells.
- Track workover and recompletion results for quarterly operations review.
- Work with Operations Production Manager (OPM) to complete new wells, including perforation and treatment design.
- Prepare and update wellbore schematics.
- Manage Departments AFE Procedures and work with the OPM and outside consultants to prepare drilling AFE's.
- Coordinate various OCC, TRC, and Federal regulatory requirements (most of the filings handled by engineering technicians).
- Evaluate P&A proposals, write procedures, and coordinate P&A of company operated wells.
