▪Performs experiments with masers, lasers, cyclotrons, betatrons, telescopes, mass spectrometers, electron microscopes, and other equipment to observe structure and properties of matter, transformation and propagation of energy, relationships between matter and energy, and other physical phenomena.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
▪Analyzes results of experiments designed to detect and measure previously unobserved physical phenomena.
▪Describes and expresses observations and conclusions in mathematical terms.
▪Applies mathematical methods to solution of physical problems.
▪Devises procedures for physical testing of materials.
▪Conducts instrumental analyses to determine physical properties of materials.

Requirements:
Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent in electrical engineering; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in antenna design is a plus.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
