Essential Job Duties:
Analyzing, designing, and managing multi-disciplined wide area and local networks. Implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco switches and routers and other Wide Area Network optimization devices including Juniper and Citrix WAN Scalers. Working with various routing protocols on the global enterprise routed networks including RIP, EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF. Implementing configuration techniques to optimize bandwidth and improve application response times: QoS and traffic compression, reduction, and acceleration. Implementing configuration techniques to enhance overall quality and reliability of the LAN and WAN service: STP, HSRP, GLBP. Implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco Voice Over IP (VoIP) systems: Cisco Call Manager and Unity. Managing the global enterprise routed network deploying Layer 2 and Layer 3 Cisco switches for LAN, WAN environments and DMZ connections. Maintaining updated documentation regarding the global LAN and WAN. Interpreting customer requirements and formulating solutions based on advanced network technologies. Developing quality management proposals and project plans.
Job Site: Houston, TX. 40 hours/week; If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S. EOE.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, or related and 5 years related experience. Experience with: Cisco routers and switches, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, QoS, and VoIP; LAN/WAN environments including both Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching; and, global enterprise routed networks.
