Description Commissioning Engineer Instrumentation & Control
This position is:Contract

Position Location:Houston
Assist identify systems and subsystems, including process, utility, non-process and drilling rig systems.
* Assist develop systems and subsystems scoping boundary drawings on P&ID?s and SLD?s (where applicable).
* Contribute to systems and subsystems definition and description narratives.
* Contribute to development of systems and subsystems priority, and commissioning & start-up sequence ensuring alignment with integrated project schedule.
Assist with the development of Turnover and Completion Package (TCP) for each system and sub system and validate packages for completeness, accuracy, and compliance of applicable codes, standards and regulations.
* Contribute to development of FAT Coordination and Testing Procedures for electrical items that requires FAT.
* Identify and procure instrumentation including Integrated Control & Safety System (ICSS) commissioning and start-up spares, consumables, special tools, chemicals, first-fills and vendor support requirements.
* Contribute to equipment preservation and de-preservation plans.
* Contribute to a renewable calibration and certification plan for all equipment that requires calibration and certification.
* Work closely with ?Q? Captains and ensure that QA and SSUI actions and document requirements are included in Contracts.
* Track status and progress of system, sub system and/or partial system turnovers and provide reports to Commissioning Manager as required.
* Contribute to development of preliminary lists of required temporary facilities/equipment for offshore commissioning.
* Contribute to development of minimum equipment testing and inspection matrix for all tagged equipment.
* Customize SC Check sheets supplied by Company (Company has supplied 4 sets of SC Check sheets for process equipment).
* Attend weekly commissioning meetings including key kick off meetings such as PO and Contract award.
* Assist and support other members of the commissioning team as required.
* Other activities (within experience and skills) that may be from time to time required.
* Identify any commissioning risks or opportunities.
* Provide clarification, training (if required), interpretation and guidance ensuring commissioning objectives have been defined, agreed upon and understood by the team.

Requirements:
Experienced instrumentation and/or control systems commissioning engineer.
Offshore hydrocarbon industry experience.
Mega project experience.
Experienced preparing commissioning plans and developing commissioning preparatory documentation.
Proven team player.
