Assistant Manager
The Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for the health and safety of the pets in our care as well as superior client service to our clients. It is your responsibility to manage all daily activities within the facility during assigned shifts. This position reports to the Kennel Manager. Oversees Boarding, Daycamp, Grooming, Training
Specific qualifications:
· Minimum two years’ management experience, preferred in Kennel operations, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
· Previous experience providing care for dogs or cats preferred. (e.g. animal clinic, pet shelter, or personal pets)
· Minimum 3 years personnel management and team leadership
· Good work ethic, driven to achieve, conflict resolution,
· Superior client service
· Effective record-keeping and communications skills
· Dependable and reliable
· A passion for animals and animal care especially dogs and cats
· Previous experience providing care for dogs or cats preferred. (e.g. animal clinic, pet shelter, or personal pets)
· Physically able to secure and handle large dogs
· Physically able to handle facility maintenance and cleaning duties, must be able to lift 50 lbs.
· High school diploma, college education preferred
· K9Bytes preferred, Microsoft Office including Outlook (email), Internet, retail transaction processing, others as designated.
