Hi! My name is Ferguson and I need a home. I'm about 5 years old, about 55 lbs and a very handsome (says my foster mom) and loving german shepherd, possibly border collie mix. I will tell you straight out that I'm not big on bragging- I am more of the quiet, gentle sort- so telling you why you should adopt me doesn't come easy for me. But I don't mind telling you that there is nothing that I long for more than to have someone to love, who loves me. I would be great with a family but i would also be great for a single person too! I need someone to take care of me and give me a home, and in return, you will get more loyalty, love and devotion than you ever dreamed of. I love to go for walks. I just trot right along beside you, happy for a walk. I never pull, jerk or run- I know how to enjoy a nice walk and I also know how to get my business done when you need me to. My coat is solid black, but when the sun hits it just right, you see my chocolate highlights. Some people guess that I'm three years old, others guess that I'm five. They all keep looking at my teeth and making guesses. You might notice that one of my ears stands up and the other lays down. That's because in my time on the mean streets of Houston, i was bitten by another dog and that permanently caused me to have very unique ears. Don't worry- they don't bother me and are pretty cute. And I probably wasn't the offender as I get along great with my foster brothers and sisters. Everyone says how sweet, gentle and good I am. I hope you will give me a chance, because like I said, I just need someone to love who will love me back. Thank you and I hope I see you soon.
