Basset Hound - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog - Bonnie

Bonnie is a beautiful tricolored female basset hound who was turned over to BBR of TX because her owner could no longer care for her. She had been neglected, underfed, and left to wander about the countryside unsupervised. Bonnie arrived to our rescue on Friday, 3/20/09, very underweight and very pregnant. On Tuesday, 3/24/09, she delivered a healthy litter of 8 basset hound mix puppies.Bonnie is currently very busy tending to her litter of pups. She is a very devoted mother and a sweet, loving hound in general. She has been very trusting with her foster mom, allowing her to handle the puppies and tend to Bonnie throughout this process. Once the puppies are weaned, Bonnie will be spayed and treated for heartworm disease. We estimate that she will be ready for adoption in late June 2009.Bonnie is brand new to our rescue, so please be sure to check back for updates!
