9" x 12" watercolors; painted by S. Vollmar in February, 2009. This painting was very difficult to pull off. I spent many hours with my watercolors trying to get the sky smooth, the colors and rays of the northern lights smooth and the ground looking right. Every time I worked on it, I had to get the whole thing wet to avoid making lines in it.
