One of my clients in Downtown Houston is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team on a contract basis.


This position is a cross-functional role focusing on special projects throughout the company which will include the Credit and Collections and the Sales and Marketing functions. This is an unstructured role requiring flexibility, a high tolerance for ambiguity, and personal leadership to ensure a focus on what is meaningful and important.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Serve as the IT Liaison for Credit and Collections and Sales group.

- Track and report on credit related key performance metrics.

- Oversee monthly credit review meetings.

- Oversee Accounts Receivable risk reporting and Customer Credit Criteria Analysis.

- Validate results of the sales incentive program.

- Conduct customer count and related reporting.

- Analyze sales success metrics including campaign tracking and reporting.

- Assist in compiling key performance metrics for weekly reporting.

- Business Performance Analysis support for the VP of Finance.

- Ad hoc key performance indicator reporting including scorecards and dashboards.

- Provide support for audit schedules.

- Perform other projects assigned by the VP of Finance.

- Perform all job functions within the established internal controls framework for the area, including the key controls identified for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

- Ensure that any known internal control problems/issues/concerns are identified and communicated on a timely basis to immediate supervisor.

- Perform other duties as assigned.


- 3-5 years related experience

- Understanding of systems as it relates to integration with other systems as well as how it relates to other departments

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Advance knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint

- SQL query knowledge preferred
